STEALTH Ideathon 2020

August 21 - 23, 2020

Students interested in using leadership & critical thinking abilities to design potential solutions to global initiatives:

On behalf of both the Lightbulb Project and Orchid Organization, we present the STEALTH Ideathon, a competition of future intellectual leaders creating solutions to a previously-selected, prospective global issue (the theme will be publicized as the event soon approaches). This event will be held August 21 - August 23, 2020, ending with the final judging session on the 23rd. Multiple awards will be provided to the proposed winners. Students are encouraged to use both STEM and Health propositions to generate their resolution approaches (hence the title, "STEALTH" Ideathon). Beyond the competition, several workshops will be hosted by various professionals in healthcare and STEM fields to further support creativity, innovation, and immersion into such disciplines.

We hope to see you soon!

August CASE-X

August 14, 2020

What is a Case-X? And why should I care?

A Case-X presentation involves a patient that is exhibiting the symptoms of an undiagnosed disease.

The audience then plays the role of the physician asking questions regarding family, social, and medical history, and signs and symptoms of the ailment that the "patient" is experiencing. This is followed by them“conducting” the necessary lab tests and physical exams to ultimately diagnose the patient.

The goal of our Case-X presentations is to promote healthy habits and make our audience more cognizant of their own health to help them identify the signs and symptoms of common illnesses prior to prevent any irreversible complications. Beyond this, our Case-X presentations raise awareness about some less common illnesses to help us grow as a community and be more receptive and knowledgeable regarding these illnesses.

We hope to see you soon!

If you would like to participate in our initiative, join us this Friday, August 14th at 2:30 PM ET for a LIVE Case-X presentation! See you there!
